The Approach
I coach, direct, and cast voice actors in animation, from kids just starting out to seasoned adults expanding their ranges. My philosophy is simple: meet each actor where they are at, and build from there. The work should always feel safe, supportive, and joyful.
My guiding motto is:
"If We're Not Having Fun, We're Doing It Wrong" - Denise Oliver (Professional Goofball)
Working With Kids
While I work with actors of all ages, I have developed a particular strength and reputation in working with children. Maybe it's because I was once a kid with a dream myself. Growing up on the east coast of Canada, opportunities were limited, but my heart has always been on stage. From living room shows to choir, dance, figure skating, and musical performances.
Later, my own children became voice actors, giving me a firsthand understanding of the joys and pressures young performers face. I believe it is our responsibility as adults to protect kids from those pressures. Deadlines and industry demands should never come at the expense of a child's wellness or childhood.

I don't confuse fun with being productive. In fact, the best work happens when actors feel safe, supported, and free to play. For kids, voice acting should never be about fame, money, or resumes. Most will move on from acting as teens and that's perfectly okay.
The focus should always be on kindness, creativity, and joy. Because in the end, childhood itself is the most important role they'll ever play. This same philosophy applies to adults as well. Where there's joy, there's openness, and where there's openness there's magic.
